We are most delighted to inform you of the USA visit by Sayadaw U Aggañña. There will be a 2-day, non-residential retreat at the Lankarama Buddhist Institute (La Puente, CA).  

We are very happy to co-host this event with Lankarama!  Deep gratitude goes toward Chief Sangha Nayaka of North America - Maha Thero Sumanatissa, all Bhantes, and laypeople committees at the Temple for their kind support.  Deep gratitude also goes to Big Bear Meditation Center as the main organizer of Sayadaw's USA visit.

Brief CV of Sayadaw U Aggnna

Sayadaw was born in 1953. He started practicing in 1989 and was later ordained by his teacher, the Most Venerable Pa-Auk Sayadawgyl U Acinna in 1992.

Sayadaw taught meditation at various centers in Sri Lanka between 1997 and 2001. While in Myanmar, Sayadaw taught at the Pa-Auk Sayadagyl U Acinna in 1992.

He later returned to Sri Lanka to continue his meditation practice and taught at the Na Uyana Forest Hermitage. In addition, Sayadaw also conducted retreats in many countries.
